Why Should I Re-Plaster?
Your walls will have become contaminated by the hydroscopic salt having been taken up into the brickwork of your wall, causing staining and watermarks on the wall surface, this contamination will still be present in the existing wall plaster. Therefore, this must be taken off your walls and replaced with New Plaster, which must be mixed to the correct specification in order to prevent the salts that are still present in the brickwork from transfering into the new plaster-work in order to prevent staining to re-occur.

Although injecting a chemical based damp proof course will prevent any further Rising Damp, any dampness already present in your walls must dry out naturally. Re-plastering is an important factor in order for your walls to dry out correctly.
